Uganda Baati Limited Strengthens Partnership with Buganda Kingdom, Commits Support to Kabaka Birthday Run

Uganda Baati Limited (UBL) has today paid a high-level courtesy visit with the Katikkiro of Buganda, Owek. Charles Peter Mayiga, at Bulange Mengo, in a strategic engagement that reaffirmed the growing relationship between the company and the kingdom of Buganda

The meeting, which conducted earlier this afternoon, brought together leadership from both institutions for focused discussions on collaboration, shared priorities, and long-term impact.

A key highlight of the meeting was Uganda Baati’s commitment of UGX 10 million towards the upcoming Kabaka Birthday Run scheduled for 12th April 2026. The contribution reinforces the company’s continued support towards initiatives that mobilize communities at scale and bring attention to critical health and social issues that affect Ugandans.

Discussions also focused on how Uganda Baati can deepen its footprint within Buganda by aligning its Lifestyle product range with the Kingdom’s expansive and dynamic business ecosystem. The conversation explored opportunities to connect more directly with traders, homeowners and entrepreneurs who are at the center of economic activity within the Kingdom.

The Katikkiro, Owek. Charles Peter Mayiga, welcomed Uganda Baati’s continued engagement with the Kingdom and acknowledged the significance of partnerships that are both strategic and responsive to community needs.

“We appreciate partners who take the time to understand our priorities and engage with us in a meaningful way. Uganda Baati’s commitment, reflects a level of intentionality that aligns with our vision of improving livelihoods and strengthening the economy of our communities,” he said.

Both parties reflected on the importance of intentional engagement, with a shared understanding that strong institutional relationships play a critical role in shaping sustainable growth. The meeting provided a platform to align on practical areas of collaboration that can be implemented in the near to medium term, with a focus on relevance, accessibility and long-term value.

Uganda Baati’s Chief Executive Officer, George Arodi, emphasized the company’s focus on building relationships that go far beyond, noting that collaboration with the Buganda Kingdom presents an opportunity to create lasting impact.

“This engagement reflects how seriously we take partnerships that are rooted in community and relevance. Our support continued dialogue with the Kingdom are part of a broader commitment to remain present, responsive and aligned with the people we serve,” he noted.

In line with the run’s theme, “Men Against HIV/AIDS to Save the Girl Child,” Uganda Baati will host a tent on-site set up as a mobile clinic, providing counseling and distributing HIV awareness brochures to educate and support participants and the community.

The meeting concluded with a shared sense of purpose and a clear commitment to sustain engagement through actionable initiatives that will be rolled out over time. Both Uganda Baati and the Buganda Kingdom expressed confidence in the strength of the partnership and the opportunities it presents for mutual growth and impact.

As Uganda Baati continues to strengthen its presence across Uganda, engagements such as this reaffirm its position as a company that is not only focused on delivering quality building solutions, but also on building relationships that contribute meaningfully to the country’s social and economic progress.
